The micropub is simply and originally decorated with a bare concrete floor, while the furnishings are mostly created from recycled and reclaimed materials; the bar itself is made from a weathered former scaffolding plank bought at auction in Northampton. on one wall there is a First World War propeller.

We facebooked ahead, and it was a little difficult to find, it’s down a walkway. I expected to see sawdust on the floor after the first glimpse at the bar. Caroline was most helpful and gave us a looksee at the way she stored her casks behind glass behind the bar. She adopted the recycle method with old doors for the front of the bar and even shop fitting slats for shelf’s. If we visit family again in Northampton we will pop by again. Can’t remember what we had but she told us the microbreweries and who to see. Very helpful.
