Just off Shoreham High Street in Star Lane, the Old Star occupies part of what was the nineteenth century Star Inn, which was broken up into retail units some time ago. This Micropub is run by Richard Hasler, formerly a window cleaner and MARC Kent, a former toastmaster.

Hugh & Mark got this micropub up and running and did an excellent job. Now under new ownership, standards haven’t dropped. A little gem of a watering-hole in a town with many alternative Real Ale choices. A little cramped if there’s a rush on would be my only negative. Recommended.
