Very helpful Landlord, sat down with us for a while. (we did Facebook message ahead so he knew we were coming). Talked to us and answered all our questions. The locals were very very friendly as well, offering to serve whilst the landlord had ‘stepped out’. Its not too far from where we live and I am looking forward to going back again when we visit Buxton again. The landlord has 15 years experience despite being quite young and is quite adaptable. His pub’s ‘quirk’ is the record player and anyone can bring in a record and request for it to be played. Loved the fact he used torn of bits of cardboard to write the new beers on. Love character aspects like that. Very cheery place.
