Named after Macclesfield’s nickname of Treacletown*. In the premises formerly occupied by a saddlery shop, the narrow building has a boarded floor, simple wooden tables and chairs on each side and a bar at the rear. The joint licensees are Bronwyn Riley and her husband Tim Sedgwick. Three handpumps serve a constantly rotating range of local beers.

More of a micropub/bar hybrid (food is served), but it’s clearly a well-loved asset to the community.
